Getting your hands on Elytra in Minecraft isn’t an easy task. Luckily, we have your back on this.
Today we’re going to show you how to get an Elytra effortlessly.
Step 1: Craft Eyes Of Ender
Before players like us can get anywhere close to an Elytra, they must first gather the necessary materials like the Eyes of Ender, which need to be placed into the slots on the portal to unlock it.
The amount needed varies for each portal,
but the maximum is 12.
Step 2: Locate A Stronghold & Portal
Once we’re good to go, we have to find where the portal is. It will mostly be contained somewhere in a stronghold structure, a place filled with silverfish in the walls.
We can take the Eyes of Ender to help here. Using one of these every now and then will allow us to home in on its location. Once we’re in, we must navigate the winding corridors, finding treasure before we get to the portal.
Step 3: Defeat The Ender Dragon
As you get to the End battle begins, you cannot achieve anything while the Ender Dragon is still alive. Damage isn’t a big task but it’s gonna use the crystals on top of pillars to heal, so we’ve got to destroy it first. We first need to hit the unguarded ones which can be done with a well-placed arrow, but the ones in the cages require explosive solutions. As the crystals are destroyed, taking away the dragon isn’t a tough task as long as we are careful.
Step 4: Travel To The Outer End
Once we kill the Dragon a big portal is going to open in the middle. This is gonna roll the credits and take us back to the overworld, we’re not gonna do this! Instead, take a look around the island a small bedrock shape will appear with a portal in its middle. Just throw an ender Pearl into this and you will be teleported to the Outer End!
Step 5: Find An End City With A Ship
See the reason we come to this uninteresting place is to find an End city. These tall and strange structures are where the Purpur Blocks lie, which is pretty good for building. These when infested with Shulkers, who shoot projectiles that can make us float in the sky. This is gonna be very cool but be careful as going too high is gonna cause the player to hit the ground too hard and might die. Now we’ve got to find a boat made of Purpur floating in the air. If you found the one, that’s where the Elytra is guaranteed to be.
Step 6: Claim your beautiful Elytra
After dealing with the Shulkers, we are gonna get high enough to cross onto the ship. We’ve got something to worry about over here other than a couple more Shulkers, so get down the stairs to the ship’s interior, and a pair of Elytra will be hanging on the wall. As you claim the main prize, do search the ship as you’ll find a chest full of Enchanted Diamond gear. This is not all, as on the very front of the ship is going to be an item just as rare as the Elytra, the Ender Dragon’s Head. You can wear this or mount it on a wall for greater effect.
