Minecraft is famous because of the freedom that it provides to the players. It is the only game that allows you to treat the world as your sandbox, and this has made It the best-selling game of all time.
But as with any sandbox game, there is always a loosely fitted story that you can follow, and the same is true with Minecraft. You can defeat the Ender Dragon if you want, but you don’t have to.
But if you’re one of those brave souls who want to explore the End Dimensions, you will have to kill the Dragon. And in this simple guide, we’ll show you how you can find the end portal in 4 simple steps, and then slaying the Dragon shouldn’t be that hard.

Step #1: Acquire Ender Pearls

Before you locate the End Portal, there are some items that we will be needing. The first thing you’ll need is ender pearls, and they shouldn’t be that hard to find as they’re dropped by Endermen, which spawn in an abundance in the Nether since the new update.

Step #2 Acquire Blaze Powder:

Once you have the pearls, you’ll need some blaze powder. To get Blaze powder, you’ll first need Blaze Rods which are acquired by slaying Blaze in the Nether. The best way to get a ton of Blaze Rod is by going to a Nether Fortress and finding a blaze spawner.

So when you’re in the Nether collecting Ender Pearls, you can also get some of these rods on your way out.

Step #3: Craft Eye of ender

Get your Blaze powder and your Ender pearls, and toss them in the crafting table by the recipe shown above; you’ll have a few eyes of ender. Now make sure that you at least craft more than a dozen. You’ll need 12 to activate the portal and a few more to locate the stronghold. 15 is a number that should be enough!

Step #4: Locate the stronghold

No, what you have, the eyes of ender, strap on your gear, stock up on food, and grab your sword, because it is time to locate the stronghold! 

Come out in the open, and throw the eye of ender in the sky. You’ll see the Eye of ender change direction and float in the air. The eye of the ender is pointing towards. So keep throwing the eyes of ender in the sky and follow the location they point towards.

Once thrown up, the eyes of the ender might just vanish or break into pieces. But they also fall intact sometimes; this is why we asked you to craft extra eyes of ender.

Depending upon your spawn point, the portal should not be far off! Also, the strongholds are always underground, so when the eye of the ender starts heading into the ground, you’re above a stronghold.
