Intro

Exploration is an integral feature of Minecraft. For this reason, Minecraft comes loaded with many pre-generated structures that you can find when you’re on a journey. Structures like desert temples, pillagers outposts, villages, etc., can be found throughout the Minecraft world, but there’s this one structure that is the hardest to locate, and that’s the Woodland Mansion.

The Woodland Mansion in Minecraft is a place located deep into the dark oak forests; this is a place where the pillagers allegedly conduct dark experiments, the traces of which are found inside the mansion. We’ll go over what the mansion has in store for you once we show you how to locate it. 

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Step #1: Find the cartographer

Finding the mansion isn’t easy; you first have to get hold of a map; this map can only be acquired via the cartographer. The cartographer is a particular type of villager that trades with you for paper and compasses; as the name suggests, the villager creates maps and has a cartography table as a workstation.

Locate one such villager; we’ll be needing him. If you don’t find one, simply find any random villagers, destroy their workstations, and put the cartography table; you should have a cartographer ready to trade now. Make sure you trap him in a house or a hole; we don’t want zombies to kill this guy.

Step #2: Get the woodland explorer map

You need to start taking with this villager. We suggest you start a sugarcane farm because the cartographer is giving emeralds in 

exchange for paper. Unlock the woodland mansion exploration map by providing the villager what he wants.

Step #3: Be prepared

Now that you have the map in yoru possession, the only thing left to do is locate the mansion itself. But before you start running in the direction f the mansion, there are a few things you’ll need for your journey.

The mansion is probably thousands of blocks away, so carry a lot of food. Load up on all the best weapons you have access to as the woodland mansion is filled with hostile creatures that can kill you in 2-3 hits. So be ready with the best armor and potions that you can access.

The main threat will be the evoker, who has a special attack. The vexes will also do much damage if left unchecked, and the pillagers are the worst; they come at you with an ax!

Once you’re ready with all the stuff for the journey, move on to the next step.

Step #4: Locate the woodland mansion

Once you’re geared up for the mansion, open up the map. You’ll see that there’s a house-like structure on it, tis is a woodland mansion, and this is where you have to go. You will be represented by a small white dot on the map; move around a little to get a sense of where you’re located on the map, and then just head to the mansion; it’s that easy!
