5. DayZ Minealone

Inspired by the popular survival game, DayZ, the Mod tries to give the player a zombie survival experience unlike anything else. Some of the most notable features from the mod are the new guns, vehicles, weapons, and most importantly, the blood-thirsty zombies!

4. Farsighted Mobs

A simple yet, very effective mod. The Farsighted mod will ensure that every Zombie spawns in the world will start chasing you! There is no radius to discovery like there is right now; a Zombie can spot you from 50 blocks away.

3. Mob Sunscreen

If you want a true zombie apocalypse, you can’t have the Zombie dying off as soon as the Sun comes up. That would suck because now you can simply enter a tall building and wait for the night to end; we want you to be on your toes at all times in the game.

Mob sunscreen will simply allow mobs to stay alive during the day as well, so no matter where you hide, or at what time you hide, zombies will always be there to greet you.

2. HunterZ

If you don’t want to figure out what mods work together, you simply use HunterZ, the go-to zombie apocalypse map pack for Minecraft players. It has almost every feature that you’ll find in any typical Zombie shooter on PC.

It has a variety of zombies so that you’re not facing off against the same green dead men all the time. You can also choose from the many different weapons available in the game.

The Mod also adds new survival mechanics into the mix, like dehydration, so there’s always something out there trying to kill you, which is exactly what we want.

1. Improved Mobs

The Improved Mobs mod is probably the best Mob enhancement mod for Minecraft. It adds more difficulty to the game by giving the Minecraft mobs all sorts of new attacks, like the one you see in the image above.

I mean, the zombie is shooting shulker bullets at you! Some Zombies will even break glass and climb ladders if you try to act cheeky around them. Overall, a mod will drastically change how you play the game!

The longer you survive in the game, the stronger the zombies will get, so there’s no chance of you surviving this apocalypse. If you want, you can turn this feature down, but I’d let it stay on.
