How to get the mending enchantment in Minecraft

Mending

It’s a bittersweet feeling to discover or create a favorite item in Minecraft because while it’s great to have, it won’t be there forever. In Minecraft, almost everything is durable, including Netherite Tools. However, there are methods to fix cherished items, such as the mending enchantment.

One of the most significant and potent enchantments in the game is mending. Without a doubt, it’s the enchantment book that players want the most, and for a good reason. This balance is unlikely to change in subsequent patches unless a better solution is devised. However, Mojang has balanced the way of Mending functions and how it can be earned throughout updates to maintain the game’s necessary level of difficulty.

Here is how you can get mending enchantment in Minecraft.

What is mending?

Mending is an enchantment that can be applied to virtually any durable tool or weapon in Minecraft. Any experience points earned while an item has been Mending will be applied to its repair at a rate of two durabilities per experience point. The experience that is being used to fix an item is expended, so players of Minecraft won’t receive that experience. Only items in a player’s hand, off-hand, or armor slots can be repaired by mends; items in the player’s inventory cannot be repaired. Players must first find a mending book to enchant an item with mending abilities.

Sadly, Mending cannot be created using an enchanting table, whereas the majority of Minecraft enchantments can. Players must, therefore, purchase, discover, or loot these books instead.

Now let’s see how you can get mending.

Fishing

Just like in Minecraft, mending enchantment books can be caught from water sources. Fishing is one of the simplest and quickest ways to obtain Mending for items, even though some people find it boring.

Looting Chests

Mending enchantment books can be found in temples, end cities, dungeon chests, and the majority of other types of chests that can be found all over the map. A Mending book or two will probably be easy to find if players are already in the open looking for loot. End Cities have the best potential for producing large quantities of magical equipment and weapons.

Trading with a Librarian for mending

A random enchantment book will be exchanged by librarians for an emerald. Players can create a librarian if they are unable to find one. Give a lectern to a villager who is unemployed in Minecraft after luring them away from everyone else. After they accept the position, players can exchange emeralds for books.

mending

Players of Minecraft will need to craft an anvil to use the enchantment nook. The Mending Book should be added to the second slot of the anvil after the item is enchanted. Players might not have enough experience if it doesn’t work to enchant the object they’ve selected.
